Intern in Australia and get paid! If you are a professional in the area of Hotel & Tourism or a junior/senior studying it then this is a great Opportunity for you. The Hospitality Program is a paid internship program offered to candidates who are completing or have completed hospitality studies and have relevant hospitality experience.

With this program you can gain professional experience during 6, 9 or 12 months. The length of the program will dependends on your visa.

Positions are available in Food and Beverage, Front Office, Housekeeping and Cookery within the most popular touristy locations in Australia.

Where in Australia may I do my Internship?

Touristy areas within Australia. It is important for you to be flexible regarding where you would like to travel. We ask that you choose three main location where you would prefer to work at and we will try our best to accommodate you. Please note that locations cannot be guaranteed but we will do our best.

When may I Intern?

Internship placements in Australia are available all year long starting any Monday(except holidays). Keep in mind that Australian summer vacation is from December to March. Remember to register at least 6 months before your program start date.

What will I get paid?

Interns work full time and should work a minimum of 25 hours per week. The average hourly rate for interns is AU$12-$15. This wage may vary depending on the Host Organization and intern working hours.

Internship Program Fee

There is a one time placement fee per placement that varies depending on the length of the internship. This fee includes:

• Confirmation of a job placement

• Airport pick up upon your arrival

• 2 nights of hotel upon your arrival

• Orientation

• 24-hour emergency phone service

• VISA assistance

• On Site tutor

Total Expenses to Consider

All the internship placements are paid but remember that the first week at the workplace will be focussed on training and induction and you will not be paid for this week. You will be required to cover the cost of your travel and accommodation during that time. Your program costs may include: placement fee + accommodation + meals + RSA if needed + transportation from airport to accommodation.

Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA):

All interns must present a copy of their RSA certificate or complete the online RSA course, prior to starting their internship in Australia. For additional information on the Responsible Service of Alcohol please refer to the additional services section of the website.
