In which cities can I do my Work Experience program?

The Paid Work Experience is offered in Barcelona and Marbella.

Barcelona is the capital of the province of Catalonia in Spain and is the second largest city of Spain with more than 1,6 million inhabitants. Barcelona is without doubt the most cosmopolitan and economically active city of the country. Travellers enjoy a variety of cultural attractions and sights. As a trendy city, Barcelona clearly shows the traces left by modernity and the avant-garde developments in architecture.

On the other hand, numerous monuments lead us back on the ancient history, on the influence of ancient civilizations and styles: Roman, Gothic, renaissance and many more. The city is a centre for modernity, where the works of Antonio Gaudi stand out together with other magnificent contemporary artists of the city. They have given Barcelona important recognition as a top destination of the modern times.

Marbella is a popular holiday destination in the south coast of Spain, in "Costa del Sol". With 27 kilometres of coast line and 24 beaches, Marbella has something to offer for everyone: places of historic relevance, beautiful surroundings and entertaining places. Whether you enjoy sails, balloon flies and water sports or you simply wish to try one of the best seafood cakes of the world, you will find it in Marbella and its aquatic sports centres.

Marbella is the most cosmopolitan city in "Costa del Sol". It has always been compared to Monaco and Portofino. The harbour of the city has grown in importance since its construction 40 years ago. Today you will find a casino, a shopping centre and a navy observatory.

In which areas I can work during my Paid Work Experience?

The " Paid Work Experience " program is offered in customer service areas as for example in the gastronomy, in the Catering, in the retail trade, in the telecommunications, etc within and outside Barcelona and Marbella.

Gastronomy: hotels, restaurants, cafés, bars, amusement parks etc.

General services: shops, boutiques, supermarkets, Call Centers etc.

When can I start the program?

For the Paid Work Experience you can apply during any season, however, between March and June, high season starts. If you want to participate during the high season in the Paid Work Experience, you should apply as early as possible. Usually it takes between 4-6 weeks to find a suitable job offer.

The program has a duration of 3 months.

How much money will I learn?

You will always get the minimum wage or more. (€ 3,99 / hour, state 01/2008, information without guarantee). With your salary you will be able to cover part of your costs of living in Barcelona or Marbella, but it is not likely that you are able to save money, since you will receive your first salary after the end of the first month. You should bring enough money to be able to finance your issues.
