What should I bring?
Your chances to receive a good and interesting job depend very much on your Spanish knowledge. The higher your level is, the better your application conversations will run. Besides, it is more likely that you receive better job offers without waiting much time. If your Spanish knowledge is very weak, you will likely receive job offers which require no contact with customers. We recommend taking a Spanish to deepen your Spanish knowledge before beginning the Paid Work Experience.
Besides, you should apply with the following:
- You must be less than 26 years old or an enrolled pupil less than 30.
- You must be a citizen from an EU member state or from Malta, Cyprus, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland or Iceland and you must have a valid EU identification card.
- You should be able to show your Spanish knowledge.
- You must have a good certificate of health and a complete journey, accident and liability insurance. We recommend you to bring your European Social Health Card.
- Preferably, you should have some working experience.
- Like with other intercultural program, you must bring your open-mindedness, tolerance, flexibility, adaptability and independence, so that your working stay in Spain becomes a rewarding experience. This also means that you must respect the rules in your workplace.
How do I apply?
First we need from you some documents to begin looking for the right placement:
- Application form with the exact description of your professional experiences, particularly those matching your requested kind of post.
- Curriculum vitae and letter of motivation
- Certificate about Spanish knowledge / filled out Spanish test
- Current body photo
- Copy of your identification card
- Certificates and references of previous jobs
After we have received your application papers, we begin to search for places according to your experience and requests. After your arrival in Barcelona or Marbella, you will have individual interviews to get a job. We arrange application interviews with placements according to your Spanish level and your working skills. It is our desire that you receive a job offer after your first application talk. If you cannot start the job immediately after your arrival in Spain, we recommend taking a Spanish course or going around the city.
