TEACH ABROAD PROGRAM

Whith this program you will live with a Spanish host family and in exchange of your accommodation and meals they provide, you will teach them 15 lessons per week of your native language. The organization and formality of the lessons vary according to your host family and the age of the members.

Upon your arrival to Barcelona you will participate in a Workshop to learn how lessons are prepared. During weekends and after lessons you will have spare time on your own. Keep in mind that your host family will be interested on getting to know you and share some time with you, therefore, you should be open minded and participate in the family life. This will help you very much to get immersed into the new culture.

Teach Abroad in Spain Details

* You are placed with a Spanish host family
* Your host family provides you with room and board
* You teach the whole family, or some members of the family, your native language (English, German, French or Italian)
* You will generally be asked to teach them an average of 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday, providing lessons and conversation in your native language.
* Lessons can be more or less formal, depending upon the family.
* Upon arrival you assist to a workshop that will help you prepare classes and materials for your family.
* You will have weekends and the rest of the time free to sightsee, learn about Spanish culture and get to know the local people.

The Teach Abroad Program Includes

* Placement in a Spanish host family to whom you will teach your mother tongue
